Colten and Lisa met at the University of Utah Institute in April 2005 in a class with more than 400 young adults. We were both on the institute committee, but never talked to each other.
One day, Lisa walked back to the registration table that Colten oversaw to talk to him and to fill out a registration form for next year. Colten enjoyed being back at the table so he could talk to people and pick up treats that were nearby. Both enjoyed talking to one another.
The following week, Lisa went back to the registration table again to talk to Colten. As they were talking, Colten asked her out on a date. Lisa was excited! After a few minutes, Lisa asked Colten if he needed her phone number so he could call her with the details. He smiled, looked at his cell phone, and said, "Is your number 801-xxx-xxxx. He had already planned to ask her out and had obtained her phone number from the registration form she filled out the week before.
Colten and Lisa were married in the Mt. Timpanogos Temple on November 5, 2005. In December of 2008, we were blessed with our little girl, Tabitha, who now just turned two. She is a happy girl and a joy in our lives! We love her so much!
