Summer Staycation 2012

Day 1 - Hogle Zoo

This summer we decided to do a family "staycation" and travel to some sites here in Utah. Our first stop was the Hogle Zoo. We met Anne and Ethan and enjoyed the morning there. It was great to see the new Rocky Shores exhibit that included a polar bear and seals.

You can't see Abigail in the first picture because she is behind Tabitha. And of course the classic picture of getting a drink from the lion's mouth.

The carousel is one of Tabitha's favorite rides. She waved at everyone.

Day 2 - Temple Trip

On day 2 of our staycation, Colten and I had a chance to go to the temple together. It was very nice to have that time with him.

Day 3 - Hill Airforce Base Museum

We met up with Betsy, Kelly, and Eli and went to the Hill Airforce Base Museum to see all of the airplanes. It was amazing to see the evolution of the airplanes and how complex they are today.

I obviously didn't get a good shot of this, but it's so cute I had to post Abigail and Eli asleep with Tabitha smiling in between.

Day - This Is The Place Heritage Park



We had an enjoyable time at This Is The Place Heritage Park. Tabitha and Abigail washed, hung, and ironed rags. Some of the other things we did were a pony ride, pet animals, mine for gold, ride both the large train and the small train, and make crafts.
