We started out the month of October with a Halloween party for the neighborhood children that Lisa and a friend planned. Tabitha dressed up as Indian Princess Tiger Lily from Peter Pan. We played the mummy wrap game where the children wrapped each other with toilet paper, doughnuts on a string where they couldn't use their hands to eat the doughnut, and pin the nose on the pumpkin, as well as a few other fun games.
Tabitha is in preschool this year. Myself and six other mother's trade off teaching the children once every few months. As our October field trip, we went to a pumpkin patch and chosen pumpkins to carve. We also went on a tractor hay ride.
Later that week, we met our friends Betsy and Anne and their children to enjoy a day at Gardner Village. We went through the petting zoo and enjoyed the animals. Tabitha then had a chance to ride the pony through the village.
Colten's family had a Halloween Party in Spanish Fork at Dawnean's house. All of the kids had great costumes! They also had a lot of fun eating doughnuts on a string, pin the nose on the pumpkin, and pumpkin bowling where they tried to bowl down cups with a small pumpkin.
The Monday before Halloween, we carved our pumpkins. Lisa did a smiley face pumpkin, and Tabitha and Colten made a spider pumpkin.
Here are our Indian Princess and Little Lamb ready to go trick-or-treating. It was nice that it was a warm evening. After about a half hour, Lisa and Abigail went back to the house to pass out candy while Colten and Tabitha continued to trick-or-treat.
